| Vickie Guerrero replaces Stephanie as the Raw GM |
|
It was addition by subtraction. By putting Vickie Guerrero on Mondays, Teddy Long on Fridays and Tiffany as the new boss of ECW, Stephanie McMahon has taken herself off the air. That is a good thing for both her and the fans. Steph just doesn’t work in the GM role any more as that ship has sailed for her. She too often plays tough, like her dad, which doesn’t work since she doesn’t wrestle. The shows are better off without her in a recurring role. She has enough to do backstage without worrying about an on-air role anyway. source: PWInsider |

Besides Flair, WWE creative also talked about giving the SmackDown General Manager role to Dusty Rhodes. Stephanie called Dusty about doing the job. Dusty has been working in Tampa, FL with the developmental territory at FCW and left the WWE creative team because he didn’t like all the traveling at his age and size. Credit: F4WOnline |

| Triple H discusses Stephanie with MSN |
|
Dave McCoy at MSN Entertainment recently pinned down WWE Champion Triple H for an exclusive interview. Triple H had his current storyline involving Stephanie: - Speaking of story lines, you recently revealed wrestling's worst kept secret and wove it perfectly into a story line leading to your match with Randy Orton at WrestleMania: You are, in real life, married to Stephanie McMahon. Were you apprehensive about the decision to reveal this? For story lines and business, we try to keep that stuff separate. But people knew and we joked about it when I was in DX [comic wrestling tag team formed with fellow superstar Shawn Michaels]. The only reason I was apprehensive is where do we go on the flip side of it. Look at it like this: There is the real world and the WWE Universe. So the cat is now out of the bag in the WWE Universe and it now exists there. So anything that has to do with me story-line-wise, you have to be conscious of the fact that I am married into the McMahon family. That throws a different curve into it. So my only concern was it tainting future story lines. Say something happens, and it's like, "Well, why doesn't he get that change through his father-in-law?" [Laughs.] We have created a wrinkle in the fabric of the WWE Universe. |
