The morale in the WWE creative team went from bad to worse this past week. After the TV tapings on March 9th in Jacksonville, the team was told to head to Boca Raton, where Vince McMahon has his multimillion dollar penthouse condo because Vince was spending the week there. After everyone checked in for what they thought would be the big meetings to finalize the next few weeks of TV and the final direction for WrestleMania and possibly the start of the Draft, Brian Gewirtz and Michael Hayes were told on the 11th by phone that Vince would not be taking any meetings that week and everyone should return to Stamford. They were told to hold internal meetings and come up with multiple options on their own while in Stamford. They were also told that Stephanie McMahon would be meeting with everyone via teleconference to hear what they had come up with. It’s said that Stephanie acted frustrated with the Vince situation as well. When the meetings were over, a list of options for WrestleMania and the main events, angles, suggestions and storyline options for the next few weeks of TV were then to be given to Vince in Florida. The mystery of who authorized the lowering of the cage was solved somewhat when, after the match when Triple H left the arena, he climbed into a Hummer with his wife Stephanie McMahon. Freddie Prinze Jr. was released from WWE last week. He was still in the loop on everything regarding last week's TV shows. Stephanie McMahon approached him a few months ago about adding to his duties and heading up new projects. He was offered a promotion and more money but very politely declined and told them he was actually a few days away from giving his notice to the company. Stephanie was caught off-guard by this and talked him into staying part-time for a short period of time. Prinze had not traveled with the writing team in many weeks but was included on all script drafts that went out by e-mail and if he gave any feedback to those scripts, nobody is aware of it. Prinze did help WWE with their Oscars party in Beverly Hills last week and the feeling was that both sides hope to maintain some sort of a relationship even though he is gone from creative. Stephanie asks Shane if he is crazy. She reminds Shane how he felt last night. Shane says that Orton is feeling the effects of last night. Stephanie tells Shane that Orton was not in the hospital last night. Shane says that the match happens tonight. We go to commercial. Stephanie is on the phone and she is telling someone that Shane would not listen. Stephanie wants to know how long it will take for the person on the phone to get to the building. Stephanie has phone problems. She should have gotten Verizon Wireless because they have no dead zones. Stephanie comes to the ring and she checks on her brother. The medical staff comes out as well to check on Shane. Orton stands over Shane and then Stephanie gets in his face and Orton hits the RKO. The Legacy stand in the ring and Triple H comes out to check on the missus. Hunter looks at The Legacy and he is not very happy with what Orton has done.
